Firesound is a fire rated intumescent sealant which expands when exposed to fire or extreme heat. It has excellent joint movement capability and is an effective acoustic sealant.
For HORIZONTAL penetrations only.
Firesound's formulation gives it excellent performance as a barrier to the spread of fire through expansion joints and penetrations in walls or ceilings such as where pipes, cables or wall boxes have been fitted.
It is fire rated for up to four hours for gaps up to 50mm thick.
Always check with a Powagroup fire consultant before use in fire rated applications to ensure you'll get compliance sign off.
