The FC150 Retrofit Collar with square base is a multi-purpose fire collar for maintaining FRL on penetrations in concrete slabs, masonry and lightweight walls and lined ceilings. They can be easily unclipped to open, enabling retrofitting as and when required. The FC150 Retrofit Collars have been tested for up to 240 minutes FRL as per AS 1530: Part 4 and AS 4072: Part 1, with multiple types and sizes of plastic pipe.
The large opening in these collars will accommodate pipes and UPVC pipe fittings of varying outside diameters. The collars are unclipped, placed around the pipe, re-clipped, pushed tight to the substrate and fixed in place as per the certification test reports.
IMPORTANT: Always check to ensure the collar under consideration has relevant certification for:
* the building materials in the application,
* the orientation of the penetration,
* the type, size and thickness of the pipe,
* the installation method.
