Fyrepex HP sealant is a graphite water based intumescent sealant that is used for the fire stopping of service penetrations through fire rated walls & floors, to prevent the spread of fire.
The sealant reacts to the heat of a fire & expands - exerting pressure on plastic & insulated pipe & cable services to close-off the penetration & prevent fire from spreading from one compartment to the next. Fyrepex graphite sealant contains inert fillers & graphite, and is for internal use only.
